The autopsy results from Saturday’s double homicide in Franklin were released late Sunday.
Jamie Bell, 42, is accused by the New Hampshire Attorney General’s office of murdering Nicole Hughes, 35, and their 1-and-a-half-year-old daughter Ariella Bell at their Elkins Street residence.
Multiple gunshot wounds caused Hughes’s death, and the coroner ruled his death a homicide.
Ariella Bell was murdered and found with several gunshot wounds, according to the state’s attorney general’s office.
The officials admitted that Bell and Hughes were close friends, but they wouldn’t elaborate or provide any background.
Bell committed suicide, as evidenced by the autopsy, which revealed a single incised incision to his neck.
According to Gorewitz, there are several ways in which this tragedy hits close to home. He says his 5-year-old daughter spends time with his niece, who is the same age.
Superintendent Daniel LeGallo says the Franklin kindergartener, age 5, has been released from the hospital. The officials say that Bell is not the girl’s biological father.
According to the head of schools in Franklin, the 5-year-old is currently residing with relatives.
